# LLM models

Bring your own OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or Groq key — pay the provider directly, Happ charges only its fee

> Full REST + WebSocket API reference: https://api.happ.tools/reference

By default agents run on Happ's models and the cost comes out of your balance. Connect your own provider key and the agent uses it — you pay the provider, and Happ charges only its platform fee per message.

## Before you start [#before-you-start]

* **An API key** from the provider: OpenAI (`sk-proj-…`), Anthropic Claude (`sk-ant-…`), Google Gemini (`AIza…`) or Groq (`gsk_…`).
* OpenAI and Gemini work for voice and text; Claude and Groq — text only.

## Connect [#connect]

1. **Integrations** > **Add Integration** > **LLM models**.
2. Pick the provider, paste the **API Key** and click **Connect**.
3. Attach the integration to an agent: **Agents** > the agent > **Integrations**, and pick the model in its settings — the list comes live from the provider.

| Field | Value |
| ------- | ------------------ |
| API Key | The provider's key |

## After connecting [#after-connecting]

While the integration is attached, the agent's model and provider in its settings are locked to it. Each message costs only the platform fee (about $0.012) from the Happ balance; if the balance runs out, the chat goes to a manager. One key per provider per workspace.
