# Telegram Bot

Connect your own Telegram bot so the agent answers its messages

A Telegram bot is the alternative to [connecting a personal account](/docs/integrations/messengers/telegram): customers write to your bot, the agent answers through the Bot API.

## Before you start [#before-you-start]

* **A bot token** — create a bot with [@BotFather](https://t.me/BotFather) (`/newbot`) and copy the token it sends.

## Connect [#connect]

1. **Integrations** > **Add Integration** > **Telegram Bot**.
2. Paste the **Bot Token** and click **Connect**. Happ checks the token and sets the bot's webhook.
3. Assign an agent to the integration.

## After connecting [#after-connecting]

The card shows the bot's `@username`. You can connect several bots; one bot can belong to only one Happ workspace.
