Shopify
Connect your Shopify store so the assistant checks order status by phone, drafts orders with a payment link and answers from your catalog
Shopify connects through a private app that HAPP sets up for your store. Once it's linked, the assistant finds a buyer's recent orders by phone number, drafts new orders with a checkout link, and answers product questions from your catalog — including "do you have this?" with a photo.
What the assistant can do
- Order status by phone — finds the buyer by the phone used in the order and tells them the order number, payment and delivery status, items, total and the tracking number when the parcel has one.
- Place an order — creates a draft order in Shopify with the chosen variants (size, colour), the buyer's name, phone and delivery address, and sends the buyer a payment link. The draft is tagged
happso you can find it in Orders > Drafts. - Catalog answers — knows your active products with prices, variants and availability, and finds a product from a photo the buyer sends.
Before you start
- Shopify store on any plan. Basic is enough.
- Store owner or staff account that can install apps in the store admin.
- HAPP workspace with at least one assistant configured to talk to customers.
- Shopify enabled for your workspace — the integration is switched on per company. Ask HAPP support to enable it and set up the store app; send them your store address (
your-store.myshopify.com).
Connect
- In HAPP open Integrations and find Shopify under Add a CRM.
- Click Connect and enter your store address —
your-store,your-store.myshopify.comor the link from your store admin all work. - Shopify opens and lists what HAPP will be able to see: products, customers and orders. Click Install.
- You land back on Integrations with Shopify under My integrations.
HAPP asks for read access to products, customers and orders and for the right to create draft orders. It cannot change products, prices, existing orders or customers.
Settings
Open the card's gear icon on the assistant's Integrations tab and switch on what the assistant may do.
- Search — order status by the buyer's phone.
- Create — draft orders with a payment link.
- Catalog — product search by text and by photo. The first sync takes a few minutes; after that the catalog refreshes every 6 hours. Only active products are synced.
Limits
- The assistant creates draft orders, not completed orders. The buyer pays through the link; until then the order stays in Drafts.
- The shipping address uses your store's country. If the store has no country set, Ukraine is used.
- The phone search is exact: the buyer must give the phone used in the order. Formats like
050 111 22 33or+380501112233are both fine.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "Shopify app for … is not set up yet" | HAPP has not created the app for your store | Contact support with your store address. |
| "This Shopify store is already connected to another company" | The store is linked to a different HAPP workspace | Disconnect it there first, or ask support to move it. |
| "Shopify refused access — reconnect the store" (401) | The app was uninstalled or access was revoked | Open Integrations > Shopify and click Connect again. |
| "Shopify blocks customer and order data for this app" | Customer data access is not enabled for the store app | Contact support — it is a one-time setting on HAPP's side. |
| A product is missing from the catalog | The product is a draft or archived in Shopify | Make it Active in Shopify; it appears after the next sync. |
Disconnect
Uninstall the HAPP app in Shopify (Settings > Apps) or disconnect the card in HAPP. Uninstalling in Shopify switches the integration off in HAPP automatically. Orders and drafts already in Shopify stay untouched.
